When you mess with dark forces you don’t understand, you don’t get to pretend to be shocked when the consequences of your actions catch up to you! When neighbor turned against neighbor in Henstone, they turned to dark magic and devils. The devils sent a “giant” daemon to collect the souls of the doomed villagers and only a few survivors remain. Now, Henstone lies in ruin. The survivors fear the “giant” beast that attacked the village and are praying to the Mother for saviors. They don’t have much to offer, a few valuables, some money, and St. Albert’s Silver Great Axe, which, is the only thing rumored to be capable of killing such beasts. Unfortunately, it is locked away under a mausoleum. Still, if a party of adventurers hear their cry for help, it is theirs for the taking. Will it be your party? Will they be willing to take the call and end the suffering, of Ruined Henstone?

Ruined Henstone is a Mausritter settlement that can easily fit into one of your adventures! It's best if it is situated near running water and quiet woods to lull players into a sense of safety. Use this as a small diversion or side quest or as a small stopping point for the players to explore! Explorers are always looking for trouble, so there MAY be a hidden dungeon underneath Henstone someday. I hope you enjoy this simple, yet colorful settlement!

Ruined Henstone is an independent production by Clay Brick Entertainment and is not affiliated with Losing Games. It is published under the Mausritter Third Party Licence.

FAQ

I've made a small change, why?

It quite simply didn't sit right with Mausritter. While for any other ttrpg I'd have been happy with it, and it seemed to make sense, I thought about it for a while, and it doesn't seem to fit Mausritter. The change in question is in the last paragraph. The passage used to read:

To earn it, each player must heap loud, boisterous praise on the gm. If they are amused, the tomb opens. Or they may have the players go on a small, silly side quest.

Now it reads: To earn it, players must go on a side quest, and recite their deeds before the tomb and it will eventually open.

This sounds much better and more like Mausritter.
